Hi,
I am Tricia Ward, currently a fifth grade teacher at Spalding Drive Charter. I have been teaching 5th grade for ten years, and have previously taught Kindergarten, 2nd, and 4th grades. For the past few years we have been departmentalized in 5th grade, and I have been primarily teaching Math. This year, I'm excited to be teaching Science and Social Studies, as well as Math.
When I am not teaching, I like to play tennis, work out, read, and hang out with my dog, Griffin! I am also currently the Girls' Varsity Tennis coach at Riverwood High School. I am married and have two daughters that went to Spalding. My oldest daughter graduated from FSU and is now working here in Atlanta in advertising. My youngest daughter will be a sophomore at UGA this year.
I am looking forward to a great year in 5th grade. You will be surprised how fast this year will go and before you know it your children will be on their way to middle school. My goals are to help your child be prepared for middle school by teaching them the tools they will need to be successful students, helping them become more organized, work on their higher order thinking skills, be stronger Math ,Science, and SS students, and most of all enjoy school. I am looking forward to a GREAT year!
Please feel free to contact me at any time with any concerns. The best way to reach me is by email: [email protected] .
