Grading Policies for 2013-2014:
The breakdown of weights for grading this year is as follows:
Homework 10%
Classwork 25 %
Quizzes 30%
Tests 35%
Recovery Grade Policies:
If a student makes below a 70% on a test, and that grade makes their overall grade fall below a 70%, they will have the opportunity to retake the test. The grade earned on the recovery test will be recorded as a 70% for the recovery test regardless of the actual test score. For example, if a student made a 50 % on Test #1, and retook the test and scored an 85% on Test #2, the grade recorded in the gradebook would be a 70%. It will be noted that they made the 85% so that we know they now understand the material, but the 70% will be the grade they will get for the test; not an average of the two tests.
